Copper-Chloride Laser

Introduction

Usually copper and carbon dioxide lasers are the most powerful types, with a in/out power ratio of about 1%. The copper-chloride laser is an evolution of copper vapour laser that requires high temperatures (about 1600-1700 °C) to vapourize the metal. Copper salts lasers work with lower temperatures but require a particular power supply, called "pulser".
